Homicide detectives are investigating a shooting that left a man dead early Wednesday morning in the First Hill neighborhood. Officers responded to an apartment complex in the 1200 block of Seneca Street shortly before 2:00 a.m. after receiving a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, they found a 40-year-old man inside a unit suffering from gunshot wounds. Officers attempted life-saving measures until Seattle Fire Department personnel arrived, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
