On May 17th at approximately 2:00 a.m., the E-911 Communications Center received multiple calls about shots fired in the area of Riverside Manor Boulevard. Fredericksburg Police officers responded quickly and secured the area. The on-call detective responded and took over the investigation. Officers and detectives determined multiple rounds were fired by several subjects. Residents were asked to shelter in place until officers determined suspects were no longer in the area and evidence could be secured. Fortunately, there were no injuries, but several vehicles and townhomes were struck. The investigation is ongoing, and residents of Riverside Manor are being asked to review any camera footage they may have from Friday, May 17th, between 1:45 a.m. and 2:10 a.m. If any residents have footage regarding this incident, please contact the Fredericksburg Police Department.
